49 Pilots as of 4/7
Thanks to all for pre registering
Fireball shots on me!!!
Oh by the way, Gerry, Serg, Jimmy,JR, it would be nice if you guys could register. The cutoff is 50 pilots, and may the best girl win!!! I know you guys have a superstitious thing about not registering until Sat. I got an idea, why don't you guys buy some little girl charm bracelets, hold hands, and have a seance instead! I put you guys in, I don't know why?

My Feedback: (2)
Kimo,
Already 20 pilots in gold? Wow. 49 entries so far? Fantastic! In talking with others it has come up that we need to change the series total reporting to be the "SAM Galactic World Points Series" so that it isn't confused with the other world points series. Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

We will probably go over 50 pilots. Not by much and Bronze will limited to 15. I will accommodate everyone who shows. We will be having a combined workers/Pilots meeting at 8:30. Wheels up by 8:45. We will be moving at a quick pace so please help us by being ready to go, staging before your heat, check your plugs before each heat....etc. Lunch will be 20 minutes. Thanks again to all the Pilots who are driving some distance to be here, the workers, and my 2 CO-CD'S, Sergio and Gerry. One quick note in the unfortunate event you have to do a major repair our safety officer Mike Miller will be re-teching your plane to make sure it is air worthy. Thanks again....even you Shawn!

A great race yesterday. A very long day and Kimo ran things smoothly and efficiently. But I have to say I was somewhat disappointed in the less than adult behavior of a few of the participants. Dudes, a cut is a cut, no if, ands, or buts about it! It is cut and dried and there are two of us in every cage. There is no age limit here but we do expect a certain level of maturity.

I want to thanks all the participants, workers, my co-cd's, and everyone who showed up and made the drive. The weather was perfect (thanks to a spell cast by a friend of mine)! Congradulations to all the winners and thank you all again!!!

Well done to everyone at the Sacramento Area Modelers that made this event run the way it did with the number of racers we had.
There was no way to avoid it being a long day of racing, at least it was not made even longer with officiating and logistic issues.
I'm still exhausted after the long weekend and can't even begin to remember how it all came down.
All I know for sure is that I'm very happy to still have my KI84 after that unexpected tail waggle it did about halfway thru my third round race following Richard V. I thought sure the plane was a wreck about to
happen as I pulled up out of the race. Found a small bit of relief as I orbited out of harm's way at 1/3rd power only to have her go a bit squirrelly over the south end add the race ended. I made a point of calling a mayday and kept from pointing her at the pits or parking lot as I cautiously approached to land.
Initially I thought something structurally may have let go. But inspection has found all to be right with the airframe and control linkages. I'm thinking I've got a problem in my receiver/battery/switch setup.
All will be changed out before she flies again.

Wasn't me.
And the south cage did call a cut on me....that I didn't do!!!!
Just kidding,
I'm not in the cage so I can't say. However, I'll admit to one turn on the south side where I pulled a little harder than I normally do with the P-40.
Sorry, but the fangs came out.
Thanks for working the race.

I don't remember your cut. Should have bought "cut" insurance.I don't like calling cuts on someone who needs a clean race to place high in the standings or anybody else. I remember last year a friend needed a "clean" race to maybe take the gold championship but cut on the last lap. Sucked for him and me too. But those who know me know I am a honest individual and I do my job as best I can. Mistakes do happen and that is why we let the close ones slide.
