We are looking at adding a raffle of a Warbird race plane (TBD) for every entry that is received and raced at the event. Must be present and raced at least one heat attempt. Your entry is your ticket. If you enter 3 classes you get 3 tickets. Winner to be drawn second day at trophy presentation.

Also YS Engines is on board with engine prizes to first place winners of the 3 classes. Thank you Richard and Tetsuo.

There are a couple guys from the West again willing to haul planes - more info coming as details are worked out.

Remember our race days this year are:
Thurs 7/20 and Fri 7/21

Schedule flights out on Sat 7/22 in case we get rain delayed and finish late Fri.

Time to start making arrangements for logistics of planes and gear.
This year will have a great raffle prize for each entry, and you may enter all 3 classes and get 3 raffle tickets for a Gold Class warbird ARF

Thx to Ys Engines, Apc props and Ritch's Brew and all of you........

I received an email on the tent reservation spots for the Nats event
Please, if you are gonna reserve a spot under the big tent like last year, go to the NMPRA website, check which spots are available and get yours reserved. Keep in mind, many are taken for the events prior to us, but once we are racing many of these will then be available, so inquire on that thread of the NMPRA site
here is the link:

be sure to scroll down to the Word Doc "Unofficial events" It is the second word document on left hand column

I am also hearing Hotels are selling out fast so get those reserved as well.

Hello, all last year I hauled a trailer with 80+ airplanes to the NATS for people out here on the west coast. I will be doing the same again and if you are looking for transportation of your planes and equipment hit me up at airraptor@comcast.net. This will be for the west coast guys and might be able to arrange pick up on the way to the NATS from California. Price drops as more people go. Last year I charged 200 a person which was just about right. This covers gas and hotels on the way. Last year it took about three days total in driving time. I dont do this to make a profit just enough to get there. So if it money left over it is split between all that paid. This is for warbirds, Q40 and Q 500 also.

Charge the Q40 guys double, they always bring extra planes
lol

Thx for doing this Jeff, we really appreciate all you do to help out so much.

I will mention I and Jeff are hooking up in No Utah so he can get my stuff and the course equipment, so if any of the Utah, AZ guys are thinking about going, just get your stuff to me in So Utah and I will deliver it for you.

Marty,
The Bay Area Bad Boyz will be there again this year. It really is a great venue and every WB racer should do this sometime in their racing career. Dave's Airplane Transport, Inc is top notch and we plan to utilize his services again this year. Muncie is the place to be in July.

Glad to hear it Mark. I sure hope you have your fuel system dialed in. Was good watching you do so well with your back up, I wondered how you would've done with your primary. I love the plug for Daves Airplane Transport Inc.
lol

Anyone needing planes/gear and equipment hauled to the Nats see Dave Sullivan or Jeff Robinson.
Dave will get there on Tuesday or Wed and leave after the event. I believe Jeff is getting there earlier as he is hauling planes for events that happen first of the week.
Both guys will take care of your stuff like it was their own.

I am hoping we can get to the field to practice a little on Wed evening after the Q40 guys have cleared out. It gets dark late in July, so some flying might not start til 4 or 5, but we have a few hrs after that til its too dark and quiet time for the homes in the area.

Remember every entry you send in and then race, gets you a ticket for the free WM ARF Strega.
Thx to our great sponsors:
YS Engines
APC
The World Models, Inc
Ritch's Brew
Waymire Decaling

Just finished prepping and racking my Q40 and Warbird planes for the Nats.
It will be here before we know it.

I ordered my fuel from Randy at Rich's Brew, and just want to remind everyone to get in touch with him and place your order and have it delivered to the pits- cant beat that !!!

Again a reminder- every warbird entry gets you one ticket, for the free Gold class ARF from WM- the Strega.
Thanks to The World Models
Also first place winners of the Over all points in each of the 3 classes wins a YS engine- Thanks to Richard @ YS Engines

A special shout out to Robert at APC for his sponsorship again this year making the trophies and raffle possible.

We will be processing planes any time after Sunday. I will be racing Q40 so my time will be limited, but will try to inspect planes as I can.
If you need a plane inspected on Thursday, the day of the event, let me know ahead of time.
We want to be racing first thing and get 4 rounds in Thur and 4 on Fri with the trophy races (3) for each class.

We will be pitting under big tent again, so see Trey about $$ for that and be prepared to walk or get a ride on the cart to the flight line- its a ways there so get your stuff together. These heats move quickly, so we need you to as well.

Make sure to let the matrix tech know your team member ( only 2 per team) at the Nats,
We will identify this person for you, just make sure you work out who is your team mate for this event. No more than 2 guys per team

Dead line is approaching before penalty kicks in. We want to get at least 30 entries and are just above 20 right now.
Bronze only has 3, and we hand out trophies to 4th place. So far every one in bronze is guaranteed a trophy at the US Nats.

Also Yolanda told me today if you cant get her, dial 0 and ask for her and she will be paged, she is extremely busy this time of year.

For Warbird, we only allow 2 pilots to be on a "Team". Where as 3 pole allows 3, we only allow 2
Just a heads up so when you arrive to process Wed, you are not caught off guard.Myself and Jeff Robinson will be inspecting planes thru out the day Wed. But hopefully we will both still be racing Q40 as well so be patient.
We do want to get all planes inspected on Wed so we can get going Thur morning and complete 4 rounds. There will be practice allowed briefly Thur morning, but we want to get things rolling quickly, so plan on getting your needle dialed Wed evening after the Q40 guys clear out
