Default 2019 RCPRO Warbird Schedule

Greetings to all,
I am hoping to start getting some information about the upcoming 2019 RCPRO Warbird season schedule. There is another venue that wants to join the ranks, (San Fernando Valley), and they are trying to figure out when they can hold race(s) and not interfere with the current schedules of others. I am also trying to figure out if we will be able to schedule a race here in Utah but due to some circumstances that have arisen, it would more than likely have to be in the late summer or fall.

Anyway, for the CD's of the different areas, please use this thread to give input as to when you believe you may want to hold your races next year so our new friends can begin planning their schedule and I can see if I can fit one in up this way.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Bert.

Talking 2019 Three pole schedule

Hi All,
Please be aware of the following dates for several 2019 three pole competitions. Protect the attendance of the warbird races by avoiding to schedule any race that would in any way conflict with these races. 2019:

Feb 9,10 Phoenix Q40 classic international competition
March 23,24 Whittier 424,426,422
May 18,19 Woodland EF1,426,Q40
June 8,9 Basin 424,426,422
Aug 17,18 Oakdale EF1,424,426
Oct 26,27 Whittier 424,426,422

Thanks very much for your consideration of this matter.

Hi Roy,

Thanks for posting these dates. I have sent your schedule out to the CD's for each warbird venue and we will try to avoid a conflict. Hopefully we can get our schedule posted within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks, Terry

Hi Roy,

You know this will result in your attendance being expected at most of the races.

Hey boys,
Great and fun race in Phoenix yesterday. Hope everyone made it home safely. Many people referred to the 2019 Warbird Calendar yesterday but I don't see all the dates here. Is there a link to the "KDC" (or something like that) website? It sounds like the dates are on that website.
Thanks very much boys.

Hi Roy,

I have no idea what the KDC website is but here are the dates we have so far.

March 30 - Hesperia, CA
May 11 - Sepulveda Basin, CA
July 13 - Sepulveda Basin, CA
August 24- Hesperia, CA
October 19 - Kingman AZ
November- Tucson, AZ
December - Phoenix, AZ

How far ahead do you need to plan?

Blessings, Terry

Hi Terry,

Thanks very much. A couple of people told me that the Phoenix, Speedworld race will be on December 7th, 2019. Now Tucson just needs to come up with their November 2019th date.
I checked my calendar, November 16th looks like an excellent date to help accommodate snowbirds from the Great White North! :-)

Sounds great. Thanks again Terry.

You know better than me. When I asked about the December date I was told that no CD had been selected yet so they hadn't selected a date. If you know who is taking care of that, please have them contact me so we can firm up the date. Also, if you would like to influence the Tucson gang maybe you should contact John Gonzalez with your idea.

Blessings, Terry

A hardy "THANK YOU!" to the entire committee and other volunteers for getting these dates posted so quickly! Makes all the difference in the world having these slated as soon as is practical. Thanks again for a fantastic 2018 and....C'MON 2019!!!

Hi Guys, Wanted to say thanks to Jerry and the boys for putting on the Phoenix event. 14 hour drive but we had fun. Really bummed to read that your holding the first 2019 Tucson race on the 23rd. A bunch of us will be in Arizona but are committed to flying the Yuma Airshow on the same day. Anyway to bump that up 1 weekend? I’d be bringing at least 8 entry’s .

Hey Terry, That "KFC" group that I was referring to before was actually CAMAC: Central Arizona Modelers Advisory Council
Website: Event Calenar - CAMAC
They have an event calendar for 2019 which includes model aviation events from many different Arizona modelling clubs. The last time I looked
the racing events for the Tucson club (TIMPA) have not been listed.
Sorry for the confusion.

Have any of you had contact with Jerry Widmer from Speedworld? I am hearing rumors that Speedworld is planning a March race. That does not fit within the schedule we have developed. If any of you have contact with him, please have him get in touch with my ASAP.

Thanks, Terry Yates

It is I whom will BRING THE THUNDER in the basin, proper, baby!!!!
Looking forward to the Sepulveda venue and meeting some new, friendly, folks...not looking forward to the drive so much, but the delicious gyro at Mad Greek in Baker, CA goes without saying. Alas, I would walk a thousand miles just to kick the living crap , competitively speaking, out of Mike Balog...he knows why...lol.
Best of luck to all of my compatriots as we share a common goal!...to FLY OR DIE!!!
Y'all make sure ya' got a spare glow plug tucked twixt your cheek and gums!

Sincerely,
Howard Hughes

Howard, Howard, Howard,
I too am looking forward to a new venue, and meeting new fellow racers. I don't mind the drive as I usually ride with friends to pass the time, Howard on the other hand arrives in a apocalyptic, extinction of humanity, kick your butt van, you all will know when he has arrived because of the van, LOL Make sure to fly in more than one class Howard so you have a better chance of kick the living crap out of me, competitively speaking of course, it will be a fun event, lets get ready to rumble!
