Default St. George RCPRO Warbird Race, 09/28/2019

The next RCPRO Warbird Race will be held on Saturday September 28, 2019 in St. George, Utah. The race will be hosted by the Remote Possibilites RC Club of St. George. The flying site is one of the most scenic places you can fly so come on out for some great racing. For more info on the site click here: www.remoterc.com.

Entry fee is $30.00 for 1st entry, $15.00 for all other entries.
Preregistration is not required.
Backup airplanes must be on the same frequency, (or on 2.4 GHz).
For more information on the Warbird rules and race procedure: RCPRO Warbird Racing or RCPRO.org.
Registration and inspection will begin at 8:00 a.m. with races starting at 9:30 a.m., MDT.
Places will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in 3 classes: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Approved head protection is required.
For more information: E-mail supra@miners-peak.com or call 435 531-1142.

The flying site is located Southwest of St. George, Utah.
Go to: Map to Remote RC Flying Field ? Remote Possibilities RC Club
To get to the field: Get off I-15 at Brigham Road and go West and through the roundabout to
Pioneer Road. Turn right onto Man of War Road. Go over the bridge and turn left, (South), on
West Bloomignton Drive. Continue to 1470 West and turn left, (South). Continue on 1470 as
it turns and goes West. Look for the sign on the right for the flying site.
Turn and go North at the sign and follow the road past the power plant and the
treatment plant to the entrance of the flying site.

There are many hotels within the St. George proper area that are a short driving distance to the flying site. Also, there are a few nice hotel/casinos in Mesquite Nevada which is only about 30 to 40 minutes away. Zion National Park is close as well so bring the family and make a weekend out of it.

Thanks to all who came out to the event. I was a great time and we got lucky that the weather cooperated as long as it did. It was really good to see so many of the old crew and some new faces! Hope to see you all again down the road.

Bert.
