Man, I've got other racers flying Macchis, now I got others building a Heinkel 100 after I just got plans from Ollie. Is this the "I want to be like Jake" month [:@]!

So Jake, I guess that this isn't a good time to tell you that me and another scratch-builder/partner out there are working on 2 different-sized versions of a scale Macchi then, huh?!

So, 'Yes' "Man-cub", I gues that means:
"Oh oobey-do,
I wanna be like you-hoo,
Walk like you, talk like you-hoo,
(and fly like you-hoo, too!)"

(You can click here if you're bored anddon't get the reference: http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/vid...ngs&FORM=VIRE2)

Jake,

Welcome to the club. In the not so distant past there was only one guy flying Spitfires. Now it seems like there is a Spitfire in every class. I guess we should be flattered.

It FLEW!!
Jake, please notice the exhaust stacks.
After trimming, I put it on the course and was making 9 second laps on a 13x13.5 narrow and 30% nitro.
There is more to the story.
Let me begin by saying that the crankshaft is not bent in the insides of the engine were clean.
For now here is a nice shot my friend Marcelo caught.

And here is a slide show from the same still camera.

Tommy, did it come out of the water and hit the orange ball with it's nose?? hahaha Seriously though always glad to hear about a successful maiden flight. I look forward to doing my best to keep up with it at the Trashman.

Somehow the pictures just don't do the cartwheel justice. Tommy, good luck on the rebuild. I'm sure like Steve Austin it will be faster... stronger.... etc, etc.

Thanks Skids, but a rebuild isn't needed.
New cowl mount blocks and engine mount (which I already have), and a new throttle servo and I could fly her tomorrow after work!

Good news. This time can I suggest that you leave the gymnastics out of your landings. I believe 3 out of 4 judges gave the routine a solid 9.5 out of 10.

The wing shape looks close to a Mustang wing. I thought a p-40 was supposed to have have rounded edges on the end of the wing. What Gives?[sm=confused.gif]

Yeah Jake!
What Iron Pooch said.
LEAVE TOMMY ALOOOONE!!

Now then Tommy.....do you need me to help you land that thing for you or what? I mean, WTH man?!
That was embarrassing. You're lucky that I still claim to know you after that.
Maybe you should figure out how to land before you go doing all that loopy rolly stuff.
I hope you didn't damage my ride.
Roy

O.K. it looks legit to me. I just needed to keep you on your toes T-Gun.

Looks great in the air, but trying to Kamikaze the gophers on the field seems like an extreme form of grass maintence . Leave the yard maintence to Kimo, Serg, and Bill Murray the grounds keeper. Anyways, have fun with the thing and keep it together for September.
