all you really need is one more event for the last weekend in April and you'll have the whole month filled.

Might bring this one out to some races, but it's not for racing with that many other planes in the air. Be great static though. IF....I get done in time.

I agree, it dosen't have the thrill factor that racing has but one sure feels good after putting in a good flight. Next time you see me at the field with my Laser I will let you fly it through some sequence manuevers and you can see what I mean.

Love that Czechmate. That is a proper race plane.
Thanks! The Holidays slowed us down a bit but progress is being made.

Here is my progress so far. Only one done, with one more almost ready to cover. I'm also 1/2 way through the rebuild of four motors. So little time and so much to still do.

Looks great Skids, almost dangerous looking. So what kit is this and what is powering this beauty?

After taking a close look at this fuse I decided I need to block sand and hit mine with another coat of primer lol. What is it they say? One is never really finished with the prep work, we just give up and paint the damn thing!

Babe, Jimmy's Spit is dangerous especially if he is coming up behind you! SMILEJIMMY!!!! haha

It started as a Kyosho. After some modifications it now is dangerous to the slower planes used by others. ;) It actually hasn't flown yet. I'm hoping to get it out in early February.

The motor is a YS 120. The Radio is JR. The fuel is a special brew using Cool Power oil.

Finally got some white base coat on the fuses. Will be adding trim and hopefully clear next weekend. Can't wait to get the .61 powered one in the air to see what she does.

Hey Guys,

The World Models Hawker Tempest are out. I have two kits. Itook a look at them. Going to make some nice racers. The cowls are great quality. The wings are basically the same squares and wingspan as the mustang. It has retracts and flaps. The fuse is light and built up. Some reinforcement will be needed for the bigger motors. All in all, the place looks nice. The stab could be a little larger, but it is airfoiled.

The cost retail from WOrld Models is $279.99. I have some in stock.

Also, if anyone needs other world models stuff, let me know. I can bring them to the races if needed.

Hi all,

Great to hear Fresno is hosting a California Warbird race April 9th.

I'll be there. Probably show up on Friday with the RV

Custom wing for the mustang for .46 modified is about ready to cover.

If fast enough, I'll run it in Silver.

Hope to have test flight by end of month. N64-010 airfoil.

- Joe

Good to see you working a new airplane Joe. Not sure if I will make Fresno or not. The airplanes will be ready if I deside to skip the IMAC contest in Salinas the same weekend. Depends on how I feel flying the new sequence, so far I hate it. I would like to meet up with the guy who thought negetive snaps on an upright 45 degree line was a good idea.

Come on. Bag the IMAC. Guy who set the routine probably has a DA-200. Plenty of other IMAC contests. Only 2 .46 modified races. Wanna see how mustang matches your Macchi.

Wing is covered and fuse just needs tail wheel, switch and tank and ready for test flight.

If you aren't sand bagging with the rpm figures you've posted on your Rossi in the past, my strongest OS gets the same, so it should come down to plane and pilot.

Of course, I haven't run my strongest OS since I plowed the ground with it after taking out Matthew Smith in last race.

- Joe.

Joe, It all depends on how prepared I feel for the IMAC contest. There is only 3 within a reasonable distance this year, if you call Santa Maria and Bakersfield reasonable. I was surprised I didn't have better speed with the T-34 Rossi combination. I think I just couldnt get the engine into it's power band with that draggy airplane. The new Macchi has a slightly smaller wing with a cleaner airfoil so it should whip some butt on the Mustangs. I have already held a Spitfire smelling rag to the nose of the .61 powered Macchi so it knows what to hunt for on the course.

Speed,
So that's how it's going to be. No scent needed..... the sound of the big dog barking should be more than enough to let the little pup know it's being lapped. I'm working on a horn so that I can give you a little honk as I come up on your six so that you know you're being lapped.
Skids :)
