Yeah, I know what your talking about. My buddy is putting an EXI 450 into a UH-1 fuselage and he's already installed all of the lowered tail boom system. It's pretty slick.

OK Jesse, I'm trusting your advice here and just ordered a EXI 450. I went with this one. http://www.xheli.com/18h15-cf450-v3-kit.html

If this thing doesn’t fit my drop down tail unit I'll be forced to buy a 450 size AS350 and use it in that. :P

I actually bought this version: http://www.xheli.com/exi450arfrar.htmlAlthough I'm sure they will bolt up the same.

Yeah I stayed away from the Pro model. This one is a V3 however so that has me a little worried.

Went to Home Depot.

I bought some glue and tape for the helicopter. Actually I just spent more on glue and tape than I did for the EXI 450 ARF helicopter!

OK I was working on the EXI today and was test fitting the Hobby King 4-blade head. Looks like the anti-rotation arm is too short to reach the bracket. Did you guys have this problem?

Ah, never mind I see that the anti-rotation bracket is closer on the V2 models. I'll just have to build the EXI as a disposable 3D heli and get a CopterX 450 V2 to put in the Apache.

This bites though. V3/Pros are everywhere and cheap! But most of the scale fuselages need V2's Not to mention cheap heads!
