Default ALIGN 450 US Army 500E test flight

Test flight:

Installed a SE T-rex 450 into her. Has a 3700 KV inrunner for power.

Nice flight JF&L. LOL so little faith in your copter though, "Let's see if it will take off, probably won't". Looks like she lifted up pretty easily. Body looks good. Might want to tone that weathering back some. Looks like it's been sitting in the junk yard for twenty years rather just a few nicks here and there from years of use.

You going with a 5-blade head on it next?

ROFL,
I have no faith in a very used 3700KV inrunner. Flight #2 shows I was right to not as the inrunner locked up in flight. As soon as I get the film I'll post it. I got lucky and got her on the ground. Outside of the motor everything else is good. installed a 3550 kv inrunner for now to replace that ole 3700. weathering(Paint job) is not done yet. I need to finish her off with a lite color coat and rub wool over where the bare metal would be. Should work out very well to scale used look when finished. It will show alot of detail in the sun and not look over weathered.

Now as to scale head ect. I'm going to fly this season as is. If its still flying in Oct. I'll install a 450m outrunner, light system and a flybarless head.

I will say that this scale fuselage flys very well even with a 3550 KV inrunner installed.

looks good. You might want to take the HS back a little if you intend to fly it scale.
