Default Vintage Graupner Bell 212 Twin Jet

Anybody flying a classic 1970's Graupner Bell 212? I'd love to see some pictures and hear about this Heli's performance and reliability. I've always wanted a Graupner 212. I recently was lucky enough to find one but is missing some parts. I hope to find the missing parts and fly this classic Heli. Anybody have any spare parts or maybe a crashed 212 for parts? My 212 is missing the engine along with the drive gear assembly. Also the tail rotor drive shaft. Thanks, Mike

Blast from the past!!

I still have mine in pristine condition, the HB engine is a bit stiff though...

Fly's very stable, no collective on it. I have it complete with floats.
Ill take some pictures over the week end.

For parts check on the German ebay some come up from time to time.

Cool.....I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. Why aren't you using the collective?

I've been watching ebay and the forums. I already bought another 212 project and some extra parts. Now I almost have a complete 212 between the two. I'm just missing a couple parts for the collective pitch linkage and I'm missing the muffler.

A few months ago I found the parts I needed by contacting a seller on ebay Germany. Frank had the parts I needed including the muffler, all new. The price was fair and the postage wasn't too bad. Frank has a really cool website about vintage RC helicopters, www.modellbau-museum.de

I have a brand new HB PDP Stamos heli engine with the round aluminum head/shroud, etc. if you know anyone that needs a replacement engine.
