Hi Century,
I am deciding on a Jet ranger or a 222 ( I have til payday to decide) I just wanted to say thank you for the catalog I received in the mail a week or two ago. It was a nice suprise. a lot of people don't even have a printed catalog any more. If it makes any difference for marketing, as a consumer The printed catalog made me look closer into your products.
Regards,
Jay Rimel

I love the new Bell 47G. Also the R-22 is Cool.
It would be neat to see the Rotoway Exec. No One is doing it.

I Just got the Hughes 500D to fit the JR Voyager 50. So far not a problem.

Hey DrDoom ! Len Mount does a Rotorway Exec 162F , just as a matter of interrest.

Fritz,
How did you make the decals? They look very good!

Great looking bird! The hand on the thigh is a nice touch. Every helicopter should be flown by 2 "barbie-like" women.

The N4CQ was done by first painting silver then using stick on letters while the purple was shot. Letters where then peeled off.
The WTMJ etc is stick on letters
The rest was painted using spraycans and about 5000 yards of fineline masking tape.

No airbrush was used in painting - all Pactra Racing Color Laquer paint in cans. Clear coat was done by a Auto Body Shop (U$125).

Fritz,

That's great! I am an autobody shop owner(technician of many years, as well) and I know exactly how much time it takes to do something like that. I am very impressed at the level of detail.

I just ordered my 206L4 kit from them, and that's how I found your heli pictures. I am doing the same thing to mine, except I am doing the local "Chopper 11" WPXI-Pittsburgh helicopter. I think Helicopters Inc. owns it. I am having a hard time finding good pictures of it, as it isn't as popular as it used to be. They used to have a whole page on their website, about "Chopper 11." Did you find that helicopter on helispot.com?

One final question... Is the "pilot" looking at porn?

Thank you, I appreciate the comments. The '4' was a lot of work. Luckily I had a good side picture of it.

I found the pictures on the Chopper4 page at the TV station. Seems they took that page down. Ask your TV station if you can do a walkaround. Maybe they'll even feature you on the News.

Nyet. Here are the pics on the displays. For the instruments I downloaded pics from manufacturer websites and sized them in my paintprogram. Print out and glue.
The chicks are from my desktop wall papers.

Fritz,

THAT is sick!!!!1!!11!!one!!one1!!

Are those custom built skids? If not where did you find them? They look great.

I am going to order that fuse for my rappy 50 V2. I'll post some pics when I get it done. Hopefully I wont embarass myself! It's a lot of work to do something as scale as you did. I have helicopter envy.

Hughes 500D with Voyager 50 mechanics.

I haven't had any mayor issues fitting the voyager 50 into this fuse. Mine is almost complete and looking good so far. It just takes a bit of time getting the tail perfect. the most mayor mod I had to do was enlargening the the cut-out for the main shaft and rotors on top of the fuse and also slotting the tailboom at the end for the tailrotor pushrod to exit. then the only other mod was to cut the hole longer on the wood mounting deck for the mechanincs inside the fuse to accomodate the rear facing engine of the voyager. You had to extend the existing rectangular cut-out by about 1 inch.

You can use some of the stock rear 3mm mounting holes in this deck with you just needing to drill 2 new ones for the front. Fortunately the fuse comes with a wide selection of screws and fixing brackets that you can mix and match to get the mechs mounted neatly.

I recently got the unpainted 50 size 222. I am really happy with the quality of the fuse and the stock detail. I have already had it in the air with just primer on it. I am using 30 size shuttle mechanics with a GPH boom and belt to make the tail longer for the 50 size fuse. This combo of mechanics and fuse is great, it leaves tons of room up from for a full cockpit and isnt going to be to bad to get the CG right either....heres some pics...

here is a pic of the mod i did to the tail. The full size 222 has the t/r on the left side, but the century fuse has it on the right. So i cut off about 3 inches of the tail, flipped it, glassed it back on, and bondoed all the seams, you cant even tell i did this and now the t/r is on the scale side...

and heres the scheme ill be doing...

I'm looking at getting a century bell jet ranger for my t-rex 600 but I really want scale looking skids. I don't have the skills to build one. Is there somewhere where i can buy one or get one made?

Nice job on the tail mod. You are right you can't even tell. I do have a question regarding flipping the tail mechanics. On a raptor 50 can you just simply flip the boom over? I can't think of a reason why you couldn't.

Did you use the Century retracts and scale muffler?
