Scale Lights Maxilite Control Unit
Guys !
I am new to scale helis, building my first Bell 222. I wanted to get the best lighting for it possible, went to Starwood Models and bought the LHC Programmable Maxilite Control Unit, lighting harness 30 - 90 size and a landing light kit just because they were the most expensive. I placed the order 2 days ago and it shipped ! Now I am reading through posts to try to find some info on this lighting system and can't find anybody who used it or knows about it. The popular systems as I can see are Maxxlights http://www.maxxlights.com I see they make very high intensity custom light harnesses and will have controllers soon they are also very friendly and help a lot.
Curtek http://www.curtek.com they have complete systems and their controller can be used with the Maxxlights harnesses, a lot of people are using them. I also found Helitronix http://http://www.helitronix.com/page3.html they have a very nice advanced controller where all parameters can be programmed using hyperterminal on a PC and supports up to 9 lights.
Can anybody help me with info on the Maxilite I bought ? Is it really good ? Is it bright ? Is it flexible or limited in programming ?
Will appreciate any info you can give me, I feel I made a wrong choice and feel sad.

RE: Scale Lights Maxilite Control Unit
i found this interesting link when i was looking for a lighting schematic for my cp2:
[link=http://www.rc-cam.com/navlight.htm]R/C Cam Navlight System[/link]
it is based on a PIC Microcontroller, is Tx switchable, and has a prgrammable strobe too. the circuit looks simple, flexible, and efficient if you need tx switchability. the soldering looks easy, however you need to be able to flash the free firmware on to the chip with a chip burner. i know some local electronics boutiques that can burn eproms for a nominal fee.
i was looking for the simplest strobe circuit for my cp2 and haven't found one with less than like 10 nodes (too much weight & complexity). i want something lighter that will simply wink my led when the battery is plugged in. i want this to go with my other steady burn & red flashing nav lights for fun flying. anyone know of a good lightweight strobe schematic out there?
