Can anyone tell me anything about this particular Huey color scheme? I found it searching the web and am building a Vario Huey and would love to do this paint scheme.

It's a UH-1a or UH-1b from the US ARMY flight school at FT. Rucker, Alabama. Probably from 1964-1970. It was used for transition training to Huey's from primary flight training helicopters. Try going to website "VHPA.ORG" - Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association- Look on the left side of the page for 'related web sites' and then to 'flight school' and THEN to 'helicopters'-

hehe, yep, painted orange for "Student Driver" !

These subjects make great scale models as they are alot easier to see against dark backgrounds than thier olive drab counter parts.
