SW, how good to hear from you, all set apart from tailplane & lights, hoping she tracks ok which is a quick fix, just a little worried about the gyro because it's major to get to that!
I should have tested pod & boom first I guess but you have instilled confidence in me!
Vidcam & camera all charged up just in case I lift off!
Hope to talk to you tomorrow,
Best Regards, Gary.

RE: A109 PRE TEST FLIGHT
A UK friend of mine is from Yorkshire, England. He just emailed saying the weather is really good up there, lots of stick time on his piper cub. Hope the weather at your area is also good. Rememer to double-check the gyro and do the tail moving test, to see where the tail blades react, blades are to move to opposite of tail movement.
Best of luck and many happy landings!

RE: A109 PRE TEST FLIGHT
Thanks Steven, weather here good, misty, no wind, it's 9-30 am and I am going to put a battery through my 450 SEV2 to wake up my reflexes first. I have only been flying helis since August so it's a big deal for me. I have flown a bit of full sized fixed wing so control surface checks will come naturally. Hatches & Harness & all that! Thanks again for you kind thoughts.
Elgreco, she came ready painted almost up to SW standards, no tape, all nicely masked and painted. Intake meshing already installed, it's a nightmare drilling holes and cutting it all about for tail rotor etc, but so far so good.
Steven, the other thing I forgot was the tailskid so Ill have to be careful as the rotor diameter is lower than the tail fin, I have a sloped garden (small) so I will have to face uphill!
Regards to bothg,
Gary.

I can't believe it. Just got off the pc walked outside and it's raining! This was not on the weather forecast! I'll have to wait until it at least slows dow. My partner (cameraperson) is a nurse on shifts and she leaves for work at 12-30pm, it's now 10-55am so fingers crossed.

RE: A109 PRE TEST FLIGHT
Steven. I did it. It just about stopped raining at 11.30 our time. Two vids are at this moment uploading to utube. I will post links when they are finished. I want you to see them before you go to bed. I shook like a leaf, my garden is really too small for this but I went ahead anyway. Didn't bother with the 450 after all, just dived in, regards, Gary.
