Default Align EC 135

Put together an Align EC 135 fuselage yesterday and test flew it today. Flew really nice and looks awesome in flight. Was expecting it to be really tail heavy and the tail difficult to control but I didn't have a problem with it. Very nice kit for the money. Bit difficult to get the mechanicals in and install the head but once you figure it out, it's not a problem.

how do you adjust the tail servo to dial in the tail when you have a scale canopy on there?

You have to adjust it and make sure the heli is trimmed properly before you install it in the fuselage. You can still make adjustments to the linkage at the tail rotor end.

True. I'll post some photos after I've put the decals on. Will try to get some in flight.

Here's a photo of the finished heli. I'll try to post some photos of it in flight when it stops snowing.

Nice work,

I'm buidling one similar right now, I managed to put all the mechanics inside but I'm terrified about having to do it again

I'm using a T-rex clone and  the tail is giving me problems, I've assumed the tail wing goes above the tail boom, right ?

I'm also not sure what to do with the black "sponge" tail guard, my manual says to put it 5 cm. from the tail boom end

About the heavy tail, I have the same feeling, did you had to add weight to compensate?

Thanks for your help and best regards,

Joan

I'm using Aligns MD 500 fuse on my 450.  To counter it, I just slide my battery forward a bit.  No CG issues on it.
