I should probably get on these forums more often! Your model really turned out very nice! The extra detail that you put into it is top notch !!

This kit came from Approach Engineering. Dr. Tim is very friendly and helpful with any questions. The mechanics came from Century, a Swift 16, fits very good.

I paid $300 and change I believe, I'd have to check papers to be sure. Right now I just have the Century electrics, I figure that'll get me going. I might decide to change things when I get finished and finally get it in the air. I've been tinkerin' around on this for about a year now. I'm working on skin, rivets, and blades now. I can't locate the "bent tip" blades so I'm making my own. Making blades gets tricky and will take some time.

This kit and all the kits from Approach Engineering and Starwood are balsa and plywood kits for the heli body. The kits are made to fit certain mechanics, the eApache is made to use the Century Swift 16 or the Logo 10. I'll post some photos of the Swift machanics in the fuse soon. You have to choose the electrics. I have a Century motor and speed control with servos from Hobby King and a Total G flight control system. I get in a hurry sometimes and create problems for myself, but all in all the build is going pretty good. You should check out the Approach Engineering website.
You should check out the strings posted by Emile Sherriff, He built an Apache also and did a awsome job, he posted pics too.

I decided to tackle the tailwheel, it's not perfect, but it looks ok. I might upgrade it later when I figure how to get the "cast" shape.

As for your build - looks to be a work of scale art!

Here are a couple pics of the 30mm Chain Gun I'm working on. It still needs work, but I thought I should post some pics. It needs paint and the brush guard and the magazine, and I think I'll replace a couple parts with plastic due to the weight.
