Ok, well thats about the coolest copter I have seen in a while. What a great sound it has. Great job there Butch.

Thanks Condor,

The sound gets better when the heli gets heavier.

At 40 lbs you can just about here the blades pop.

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">OMG 40 pounds? That is really amazing. I fly for RC Aerodyne and never really looked into electric helis until last year. I am flying their Hughes 500 and AStar 350 on 8S setups with about 7.5 minutes of safe flight. My next is their new Jayhawk.</div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">What a difference being able to hear the tail rotor in turns and the blade pops. I forgot to ask you what rotor speed you are flying in the video. By the way, very nice flying there. You make it look so easy. Very scale flying isn't as easy as some people think.

RE: SCALE JET e-S76 build

I am turning a head speed of 1040 with 950mm blade's. I have smoothed out the flights with more flight time. There was a learning curve with a heli this heavy. Once I was comfortable with the flight charistics it is actually very nice to fly. It just took a bit to get used to.

Butch,

Great looking video and nice job on the flying. It does take some getting used to the heavier heli's flight characteristics. If you dont mind me asking, what are you using on the tail. Once again nice job, beautiful bird.

The tail blades are 145mm. I am using a JR770 and JR8717 servo. I need more torque for the large diameter tail rotor.

Nice,

Helis are a addiction/illness you know. I am working to get a Government Grant to study the affects of the addiction/illness and maybe some entitlement for support.

Hey, it's as good a reason as other don't you think?
