Now I just need a Menace...

Lets see a GPS rating showing stock and the .28. That would be neat.

Top speed will not be higher with the big block, it will just get there much faster! The conversion does work out nicely. The 28 also has the E-start that we have become familiar with.

It looks sweet on the Menace, and it looks insane on the Fusion.(All motor!)

My chevrons are almost bald from the .21. I kept hearing this sqweeling noise this past weekend from the menace while taking off , and i thought i was about to loose a tranny or some gears. Only when i nailed it from a dead stop. After doing it a dozen times or so , i came to the conclusion that it was my tires sqweeling on the concrete Now a bigger block will only mean one thing , MORE Sqweeling

Thats brave sayng it will get to top speed faster with the .28 big block.

For a start the engine is heavier so its going to take longer to accelarate de accelarate and turn.

I get loads of wheel spin with 30mm foams all around and 15%.

I think the big block conversion for the Fusion is stupid it's the only 10th scae running a .21 as it is.
Would of been better to sell some engine mounts so any .21 engine could be fitted as the thunder tiger .21 has the holes in the wrong places.
Or a modified piston sleave/crank/piston.
Very disapointed. Big waste.

On the other hand a big block for the Menace. Great!

We offer the motor mounts separately for exactly the purpose you mentioned.

As for the "braveness" statement, we know the test results. The Menace weighs more than the 21 can carry at those speeds. The 28 not only gets it there quicker, but with a higher top speed due to the extra power to pull top gear. Not just logic, but proven in reality. [8D]

BTW, who said it made the Fusion have a higher top speed without a gearing change anyway?

We did not pull this conversion out of thin air. Customer requests are the reason this kit came to be.

Why the negativity about options that you may not want, but others do? Aren`t the options one of the great aspects of the hobby?

I think the upgrade is awsome. If my mota blows or i have any problems , i am not buying another .21 , i am going for the upgrade ! Think about it like this ! What if Chevy didnt make a Z06 , What if Ford didnt make the Cobra ! This is only an option given to people who want more and fact is that people crave power and speed !

Schumacher RC Superstore,

I ment the .28 conversion for the Fusion. For the 4x4 menace great. But for the Fusion no.

The menace 4x4 when used off road needs a .28 i agree i want one.

But never in a month of Sundays does the Fusion need a .28

I never said it made the fusion have a higher top speed? I guess your saying that because you know the top speed will be lower because of the lack of RPM.

Like i said it's a brave comment to say a fusion .28 will beat a Fusion .21 at anything.

Totally stupid IMO.

Groundman,

We are way past the 1960's

That 1966 AC/SHELBY Cobra 427ci S/C could do a quater mile in 12.3 seconds

In the year 2000 they made a car with an engine half the size that can do the quater mile in 12.7.

The way forward for the fusion is modifications not a .28 it's plain stupid.

Some people like .21s and some people like .28s. Each to their own. I prefer .28s because I like to smoke tyres and power out of bends with the back end hanging out! Others prefer .21s for their top end power and economy. But whatever you decide to buy it is your choice and the view of others can be used to assist your decision but their views should not be forced upon you.

Its not all about top speed, for me its about the way the vehicle drives as well as how fast it is. Some people love F1, some people love Rallying. I love Ralling because of the way they throw the cars around on whatever surface they are on.

My point is, I think this big block kit is a great idea as it gives people like me and many others a choice. Do we want a tight neat car or do we want a wild and crazy car?!! Wild and crazy for me please!![8D]

That AC/ Shelby Cobra was a 7.0 litre car in 1960's it could d a quater mile in 12.3 seconds

AC/Shelby Made a car in 2000 with an engine 3.5 litres that could almost post the same time.

Nobody apart from hutchy bee has a .28 in there fusion put it that way. And all he likes doing is smoking tyres. you can smoke tyres and get the back hanging out with a .21 so his reasons are pointless.

You can modify a .21 and a .28. but you need less horse power from a .28 for it to be faster. Also it will be faster no matter what because of the laws of inertia.

The companys that produce the engines make .28's for trucks not onroad it's totally pointless to have 1. Unless it's custom.

Is the Kyosho Inferno GT a truck? Whoever made the engine doesnt care what it is used for, they just want to sell it!! So Kyosho bought it and put it in AN ON ROAD CAR!

Just in case you dont know what an Inferno GT looks like....

If it was only me that liked crazy cars would they really design one just for me???

Oh my gosh!! I have found more people that like TRUCK ENGINED CARS!

My point! What you like is what you like and what I like is what I like. I am not wrong, you are not wrong WE ARE JUST DIFFERENT!

Groundman,

If you botherd to read any of my posts you would realise i never insult anyone first.

Yes everyone has the right to an opinion.

But the fact is a .21 is a racing car engine and the .28 is a truck engine.

It's that simple. Yes the inferno has a .28 great.

I will curse , flame , degrade , insult , or embarrass anyone that i feel deserves to be.

The fact is These Schumacher forum guys do need to be. They are a gang.

Nobody likes the Nitro Schumacher guys at all. They are not worth the time of day. for proof go to the electric part of their forum. They talk like normal people.
nitrohead and his gang have ruined that forum and as you can see now they are trying to ruin this one.

I am so impressed at how easy these motors are to set, And these motors make power all the way through the power band. I am looking for a plane with a thunder tiger motor, and I think thunder tiger makes a trainer. I hope Schumacher reads our threads and see's how well pleased we are with thier choice of power. Nitrohead 5300 , My man thier is nothing like the smell of a two stroke in the morning !

Groundman,

I know the rules and follow them. i havent insulted anyone It's nitrohead and hutcheybee throwing the insults.

The fact is a .21 is a racing engine and a .28 is an inferior truck engine.

Sick power?

Very sick. A big heavy engine in an on road touring car is never a good thing.
