You might try the Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola. They have the original on display (or at least they did).

I think the NC-4 has been done to death. A friend of mine has a kit (in metal divided box) that was produced in late 1920's with a plan, and I know it has been done numerous times thereafter.

You only then need to match plan to your ability for there are many.

As mentioned, I think the kit was given to my friend via Vic Cunningham of RCM when he operated a small antique hobby shop in Pomona Calif. a few years ago. It was a rubber powered NC-4 out of the late 1920's. The box had a few missing parts out of the individual named compartments, and the replacement parts were made of balsa, for the originals were of bamboo and other light hardwoods, as balsa was not generally used yet in the era. The plans (two sets folded up) were off some Van Dykes (I assume as they had a lot of blue upon them), and run through a wet processs duplicating machine. Has been three years (or more) since I investigated the kit now.

Although considered a Giant Scale then, it is average to small today. I would suggest you use one of the more contemporary sources for building prints.

AMA Plans Services has 4-5 sets, most are small Free flight/control line, but one is a 54" span that could be adapted to r/c
search the "C"s for Curtis, and the "N"s for NC-4
Many are "Kit" plans not scratch building plans though

good luck
