CUB airfoil USA35 ???
Hello,
Need help with my scratch project, a quarter scale CUB.
the factrory drawings says the airfoil used in the wing is USA35. I only have a section view of the foil 1:20, but i'am in need of exact measurments of this foil. Does anyone have compufoil or similar program to sketch it in DXF, DWG or TIFF format ???
Any help would be wellcome,
Mika

CUB airfoil USA35 ???
Profili shows a USA 35 but I REALLY don't think it's the one you want. It's 18% thick and has a touch of undercamber to boot.
There IS a USA 35-B also and looks a LOT more like what the Cub uses at 12% thick and all but flat bottomed.
Anyway there's a whole range of USA 'foils in Profili. I don't have the link but a quick google.com with "profili download" will find it in a snap.

Gee, Thanx
It has ability to make a .txt file of that foil so i can draw it to AUTOCAD. Great Thanx a bunch....
It seems just by eye, that the USA-35B is the most accurate one.

Go to the "Incomplete Guide to Airfoil Usage" at http://www.aae.uiuc.edu/m-selig/ads/aircraft.html for most all the airfoils used on full scale aircraft. I like to go there and just browse around looking at the airfoils used on various old aircraft. Fascinating.
And yes, the J-3 used a USA35-B.
