First point: Let's get real and admit that working lights are petty silly on any RC model unless you plan on flying after sundown.
I don't think many of us fall into that category, but if you do, then you'd want string lights or some other kind of lighting system that would allow you to maintain control of the aircraft in the dark.
Second point: Given the first point, what you are trying to do in replicating AC lights is to find objects that look like scale lenzes which means you aren't limited to actual working lights.
For that, use your imagination and start looking around the house. You'll find all sorts of little plastic covers on lots of different kinds of bottles that will suit the purpose.
