Building an RC Airplane Launcher
I decided it was time to stop messing around with the slingshot and build a stand-alone RC Airplane Launcher. Unfortuantly, my Easy Star didn't survive the ordeal and is need of repairs Next episode I'll be making some improvments and hope to successfuly launch a repaired Easy Star. After that I'll make an episode on a how-to-build-this for the launcher itself. What do you think? Anything I should do different? Did I miss anything?

RE: Building an RC Airplane Launcher
Yes, like you said in the Vid,,
You designed something for only one type of airplane, a pusher, and you had to modify the plane by adding a hook. Very few would want to do that.
What if you decide to launch a Warbird, or other conventional tractor config. prop plane, that design is useless for those.
another question, didn't you get damage to the wing when it hits that "Tee" in the middle?
good luck

As far as a pusher prop only, I actually am designing this for a "tractor" prop on a conventional build, and I think it will be okay as long as I don't turn on the motor until after its free of the launcher, but again, you propose an interesting question, can this launcher be made to work for non-hooked, non-pusher (while motor running) airplane.
The "Tee" didn't appear to "whack" the wing as it was launched, but I will be adding a little ramp to prevent that, just in case.
Thank you for watching and critiquing, it only encourages me to make it better!
