Default Covering my scratch built plane

Guys,
I got a Scratch built scale Hurricane. Im up to covering. What can i cover the plane with so i can paint the Camouflage colours on it??

Use the old fashion way of silk and dope. Try to get this type of silk where you are. Dan.

Solartex is great product. I haven't used it, but we have a Brit in our club who swears by it (rather than at it).

I agree with above posts. I would go the silk or silkspan and dope on a 'smallish' one, say 45" span and Koverall (similar to Solartex) otherwise. Even on the 'bigger' ones, silk and dope on tailfeathers is very beneficial being lightweight.

thanks guys,

It is 93" wingspan.... it takes either a G62 or a DLE 55cc - havent decided yet.

I use Sig Koverall on larger planes.

Similar application techniques to silk or tissue (apply & seal with dope, not an iron on)
but once applied you heat shrink it like a film.

It's a type of polyester I believe, similar to modern, full size aircraft covering.

After doping you put on primer then whatever paint you prefer.

The open areas on this jet are covered in Koverall, primed then painted. - John.

Cover it with doculam and paint with Rustoleum. Works for me
