Default Help With Scratch Built - "New Design"

I use the term "new design" very loosely here.

I have a couple of sets of wings from an Edge 540 (65") and a profile (68") that I would like to scratch build a very simple fuselage for. Nothing fancy and mostly boxy like a stick style plane but I would like for it to have a bit of a short tail moment for good aerobatics (no 3D). I plan to use a DLE 20 with a carbon fiber pipe for power so it has to be a strong setup.

Mid wing with a wing tube. I just have no idea how long to make the nose and tail. Is there software or a site I can go to for reference and maybe print some plans up of my "new design"?

Thanks!

This is good for a trainer, but you may find it useful:

You could use this 3D foamy plan as a guide.

Here is some old fashioned basic design information that still applies. Dan.

Thinking about buying a Great Planes Big Stick 60 fuselage and doing a frankenstein on it.

Is there some free CAD software for R/C plane design?

Yes but none worth a dime. Basically they are little more than MS Paint.

Really wing ribs are the hardest part and you already have your wings so just trace out the fuses on some paper.
