The weather is terrible in Hungary so I didn't have any mood to work on the Extra.

Although, I managed to design a pitts style muffler, It looks great and I hope it will also have a great sound.

Hi Petronio

I would like to have done the maiden flight in the next week but unfortunately I realisedsome days ago that my Aurora 9 has 0-point problem on elevator. I sent it back to the supplayer.
I dont know how long it takes. A week or a month or two....

Ciao

Thats some work that anybody would be proud of . Beautiful craftsmanship.

One question, did you build the muffler? It looks factory built but you said you designed it. IMHO, your whole project is sharp!

Thanks,

Bill

The muffler was made by an Hungarian muffler builder. He makescustom mufflersand alsoworksfor the traditional HungarianMOKI.

If you are interested in - I can send you his email address.

Thesupplier brought anew AURORA 9, so the maiden is possible at this weekend.

Hi

After 6 month break I started to fly again with the Extra 230 in last weekend. Ididsome safebasic aerobatic sequence, but at the end I almost crashed the plane.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsC6x9RSrFo

I dont realy satesfied with my DLE 55. Useing XOAR 22x10 airscrew It turns only 6850 1/min on the ground, and 7500 1/min in the air.

I dont know what to do with it.

Besides I am working on the mould of the cowl,I hope it will be finished in some weeks.

The plane got a new carbon fiber landing gear.

Ciao

Sir,

your build is awesome....

Where did you design the airframe ? Solidworks ?

Are the plans available ?

And actually,

if someone has the plans,
can he just go to a CNC machine and let them cut the wood using the plans ?

Hi

Iwork withSOLD EDGEV20

The fuselage and wing ribs were cut by CNCmilling machine with 500x250 working area.

I designed this plane just for myself and not for commercial use.

It is flying well, but it has many things that I should modificate.

Ican send the drawings, but at the moment it is not recommended to build this plane.

On the other hand the cowl and the canopey are not available at the moment.

Maybe in the future.

Isend you the link of the original Hungarian Extra 230 topic.
There is more picture about the designing and building process.
