wing tips
Hello Folks I found a old scratch built 1/3 Pitts special that when I got it the planehad been modified by cutting the wings down to 59" top,56" bottom w/ over all length of 55.75". My question is - What should Idoto finish the wing tips , box them off as a M12s or to tapper them off as a M12 . I'am leaning towards boxing the ends as a M12s but do the tips need to be boxed parallel to fuse center line..Have been out of the building stage for about 15yrs. But 15yr old son is getting into it -time to learn old school ..not order part and put it on and call it building.. Thanks

RE: wing tips
I think if you are going to leave the tips flush with the wing rib, it would look better parallell to the fuse. Sorta like alot of the profile fun fly models. Here is a pic of what im referring to.....Gene

Found a old set of planes for it and once I get them I will most likely go back to original. After talking to guy that knows planes the original is hard to be out done...Thanks for the answers
