Heheeee...wait! There is more to present
Total cost of the case is 22euros. The wood was the only expensive part. Cost was 12euros!
Total weight will be arround 2.0kg.

Nice job there Kostas. Something neat about that set up is you won't need to bring an easy chair to the airfield. That box is strong enough to park one's tush on. Oooops...you added the handle though I know some pilots at my field that might just enjoy the added excitement, lol.

So what protects it on the inside ? Gonna install some foam ?

I will wrap the internal case with it, so that it provides a safe and sock free home for my 10C.
But I am still trying to locate the foam. I found a yellow colloured one, but don't you think that grey or black will be better;

Guys,
here I am again after some months of busy work with my school...I want your advice!
What material do you suggest for using as an insulator of socks, on the inside of the case ?
I thought I'd use foam, but I wasn't fortunate enough to locate and buy some....[:'(]

I finally managed to find a big 1sq.m. foam to use it on the inside of the case for protection.
This finishes the DIY presentation for a transmitter carrying case.

VERY nice work on your part.
But isn't the choice of material thickness a little extreme? It's strong enough that you could easily kick it off a cliff and onto some rocks a 100 meters below and it would come up with nothing more than a small scratch or two....
