Metal Steering Arm
Hi all
I am building a 60 sized plane with an AMT (Fletcher FU24). The AMT is controlled via a 5/32 rod through the fuse. I need to fabricate or buy a linkage to attach to the 5/32 rod to which i can attach the push rod. I was thinking something along the lines of a heavy duty steering arm which has a grub screw. The only thing I can find is the Dubro 155 set up but it is nylon. Will this be ok with the forces on an AMT? If not any idea where I could get a good metal steering arm that is quite long?
Thanks

RE: Metal Steering Arm
Dumas makes metal rudder arms for boats, but they are 1/8 and 3/16.
I'm sure you could drill out the 1/8" to 5/32". I'd be tempted to just make my own
from heavy K&S strip brass and a beefy wheel collar.
