That is what I like about the DeSoutter MK1 it isn't something you see very often if ever. You get a WOW factor at the field and everyone wants to know what it is and a little of it's history. The MK1 has many unusual details you find in Golden Era aircraft when aviation was full of people experimenting without too many preconceived ideas pushing the envelope.

Looking at my avatar it's not hard for you to see what I like, they only built 14 of that airplane.

Time for a new trailer? I must admit I limit myself to 1/5th scale or a 84" wingspan for the same reason. I just upgraded from a 1998 Acura RL to a 2001 Acura MDX so I maybe able to squeeze in a few large planes.

Its 2.7mm 4by8sheet door skin from homedepot .keeping it cheap spruce would have cost hundreds two sheets of this 12.75each

door skins are amazing & best is they are cheap.... i have been using them since 1999... happy with it i mainly built small planes 40-60 size so need to make hollow cuts to make it lighter... all 40 size trainers i have built in the past have the same door skin fuselage & wings are either built up or foam...

Yes I like them splinters are A little bad if your not carefull.Price is right .I was thinking the same thing about the smaller planes its very close to goldberge type wood.My grandfather was A light early free flight guy so when he put together A Goldberg Ultamate he called it peach baskit wood.lol Here is the stab sheeting going on

Im still looking for A motor 62 cc Zenoah or larger .I would love A inline twin 80cc .weight we are not sure yet 30-35 pounds

I guess you could say im winging it no cad no plans just 2 3veiws and the fullscale at shuttleworth .I scetched up the plans outline and then had it blown up to correct size 104 long 144span 33% I will fill in the plans after I figure out all the little problems sizes of wood ect.
