Ok, so grew up with Triumph Spitfires, Sunbeams, mini Cooper's and Triumph Chicanes (with OverDrive) and Land Rovers (even a Austin if I recall). They are all awesome ("reliable") cars for oil suppliers and seal manufacturers as where all Leyland products. But can we get back on topic please.

My Feedback: (6)
I still remember the joy of taking it out of the garage each spring to find out what broke while it was sitting in the garage over the winter. One year the spring inside the clutch master cylinder broke. Tap the garage wall on that one and learned to have it in neutral before starting! Those old Triumphs are fun cars but you better like to tinker! I sold mine the year my second son was born the year after buying our home. The buyer had a carpet store and not enough cash to pay for it. I got more than I had in it plus got two custom area rugs and the rest of the house re-carpeted to boot. He had it a few years and sold it again but the guy who bought it from him did the full frame off restoration I couldn't afford. I have seen it in years but she was better than new the last time I saw her!

Reading about these vintage vehicles brought back fond memories of my late 50's Austin Healey Sprite, the bugeyed version. I sure had loads of fun driving and tinkering with that little car.

My son had one of those. Green besides. We both wish he still had it.

I forget. What was the topic anyway:-))))))))))))))

Beautiful. Sure wish I still had the focus to do that type of thing anymore.

p.s. and the room to accommodate it. I sold my 84" Stampe SV-4 because every time I tried to move it aroundin my garage, I poked ANOTHER hole in the wing.
