I am looking for some P-38 lightning plans. I don't want the wingspan to be too large (Over 60"). if anybody knows where a good set of plans is please let me know.

I have one of there 60" p38 plans. I believe the author was Whitehead. There is even a little instruction on the building and flying it.

Model Aviation magazine had a 52" plan in 1988. I think the designer was Jack Stolly. He details the Fowler flap mechanism as well as the retracts. If you have acess to a lathe and a mill, and you want to put the time into machining the landing gear, this would be a good choice.
