Bought a bundle of plans at auction, how did I do?
In February of 2008, I went to the TCRC auction. There I bought a couple boxes of plans.
I started looking through them last night, seeing what I had.
So far:
Weeks Special biplane. Designed by Miles Reed, 72" wingspan, ACE R/C.. 15 lbs and up.
Seamaster 120. Big sea plane
Giant Sweet 'n Low Stik, 86" wingspan, 17 lbs, Quadra 35 or comparable engine, Midwest products
Space Walker, 1/3 Scale, SIG Craftsman Series.
Thermo Charger, High wing, with pusher prop just behind wing. Battery power, no landing gear, just skid.
DC3/C47, Nick Ziroli plans. Couldn't find size from plans. Big. One of the fuselage formers was over a foot in diameter.
OV-10 Bronco. Model Airplane News plans, Designed by Frank Capan, scale 1-3/4" = 1'
Cessna 182, 86" winspan. Pica Products, Design by Jon Tanger
P-40E, Topflite, Designed by David Ribbe 64" winspan
Ultimate 10 Dash 300S Biplane. 28% Sport Scale. Ohio R/C Models. This is a BIG bird. The fuse is about 6 feet long spinner to rudder.
I recognize some of these birds, some I don't.
You tell me.. Are any of them any good?
Does anybody have any experience with any of them???

VMSGUY,
You did good, I am found of the Giant Sweet 'n Low Stik and the Thermo Charger myself. I have a few plans as well, we can make a trade if you wish.

the sig plans usually show all the parts to build from you may be out of luck with the top flit plans as usually they show only one or two ribs and hardly any formers.

Are you interested in selling or trading the Ziroli DC-3 plans? I'd be interested in them if they are a complete set and in good shape. I am finishing up a Giant Sweet and Low Stick I built from an original kit I bought, nice airplane.
Thanks,
Bryan

VMSGUY,
I would be interested in buying a copy of the plans for the 27% Ultimate's lower wings. I have a 30% Ultimate 10 Dash 300S designed by Geoff Combs of "RC Model Engineering". This company is apparently no longer in business and I haven't had any luck finding a set of plans for this model. I destroyed the right bottom wing of my model on a less than perfect landing last week. If anyone out there knows where I can purchase a set of plans for this model, I would sure appreciate the info.
Thanks,
dougflys

Dougflys,
You might want to check with an RCU'er who goes by "Hemikiller." Look on the Plans for sale section he offers reproduction and enlarging service.

Its a shame nobody seems to have this kit traced out for parts ...I don't think this planes plans had full templates ? I know the front bulkheads were precut, and the rear ones were built up. Also I believe this kit supplied two large rectangles of lite ply for the sides, and then you had to cut them to fit the plan shape.
