RE: Ryan's rebel
What engine did you decide to use?
Has anyone added the necessary support structure immediately behind the wing in order to include a tow line release so a Rebel can double as a tug for scale sailplanes?

Great plane! Been flying mine all summer with a ryobi. About all I can say, build it as light as possible. As far changes? I didn't make many..............Two screw mounting of wing by lowering wing 5/8" that way I could use dowels in the leading edge into the fuse for front attachment of the wing, 1/16" wing ribs, liteply for bottom of fuse with lighting holes ,1/4 x 5/8" wing spar (bass) with 1/16" stress webs, build up ailerons. cut 2 1/4" off wing to fit shortbox truck .Mine weighed 11# 4 oz but I had to add 1 1/2 oz to the tail to balance. Use high rates on the elevator on landing. This plane land ssssslllloooooow. Riley
