rudder size for bipe
making a 60 size version of the das stick bipe from two crashed arfs. need to know how much to increase rudder area to compensate for the addition of a second wing (same size...60 stick wing). also need to know how far forward to set the top wing.
should be a fun plane!

Probably no need to change the vertical size.
There's other Stik bipes that have used no stagger, just one above the other.
It will fly, no matter what.

RE: rudder size for bipe
Ozmo find the total area of both wings. Multiply that by 22%. Take 1/3 of that number and you have the total verticle fin area. Use 1/3 to 1/2 of the fin area as the rudder and you should be ok. I got this from a set of generic formulas off the net to design planes. Hope this helps.
