CAD wanted
Hi,
I am about to build a profile from scratch and allready have some plans. The problem is it's a .dwg file and I don't have an aotoCAD program at all. Can I download a free version which is good enough to view the plans somewhere?
Thanks in advance

AutoDesk (makers of AutoCAD) have a free AutoCAD viewer program that you can download from their site (www.autodesk.com). I know that there are some free CAD programs, such as TurboCAD LT, just not sure of the file compatibilities.

http://www.al-ki.com/tcad/download.php#HatchPatterns TurboCAD v4 is a free download and will open, edit and print all ACAD r12 .dxf's or earlier. There was also a T/CAD 2D v6.4 free download that would open most others but I don't know the URL for it.
Good Luck!

Barto, if you can't find something that will open .dwg's, then email me the file and I'll convert it to a .dxf for you to use with the other programs. As far as I know, only AutoCAD will open dwg files for anything other than just viewing it.

IntelliCAD offers a Free Download of an EVALUATION COPY IntelliCAD 4 Standard version, plus the User's Manual in Acrobat PDF. IntelliCAD's native file format is DWG, which allows you to open existing AutoCAD file. The current version of IntelliCAD 4 is good until December 31, 2003.
