Here's my next ambition....

Drew up the plans today...airframe made from Owens Corning Foamular 250 1.5 inch thick PINK FOAM.

This brings me to my next question....what's the largest model that you've HAND LAUNCHED before??
I'm thinking of installing on-board kill switch for belly landing (ala Lanier Shrike).
Maybe temp gear for maiden flight (make sure it's trimmed)....then under-hand launch style.

What ya'll think??? Ambitious enough???
My driving factors are:
1. To make a simple, super light airframe to prove a "Ryobi CAN HOVER".
2. To make a wing that will flat-spin like a mad (maybe even climb in one)
3. Less than 50 bux for materials for the airframe.
4. And the biggie.... Turn lots of heads at the field... "What the ____ is that!?"

I've seen much larger hand launched, but it had one man on each wing, and a third holding the tail. Can you say "One, Two, Three, Heave!!?"

I made a scaled up SIG "Wonder" using a Stik wing.. something like a 60 inch span. Handlaunched it ONCE! Scared me! Added a landing gear ASAP!
