My Dads 1/3 Skymaster
Thought someone might get a kick out of this. My dad designed, and built this 1/3 semi-scale Cessna Skymaster from scratch, complete with fiberglass fuselage. The non-scale built up wing has a clark Y constant cord, and is sheeted with corrugated cardboard. Built up tail feathers. Weighs in at 75 lbs, and flies great with a 3W78 twin on the nose, and a 3W48 twin on the rear. Its real fun to fly, and makes quite a sound. The cg on this design seems very far forward at around 25% MAC. The neutral point is not far behind, we found out the hard way on a previous version

A little closer up shot. The tail booms hinge at the wing, allowing the tail to swings up over the fuselage for transport. The plane rolls on and off of the homemade carriage for transport.
