Default model for an Enya .09

I wonder if anyone could suggest a model for an Enya .09 IV and if it´s possible to use std equipment on it. Thanks in advance.

Regards
Claudio

I'm building a Petite Parasol published in MAN March 1966. Also, check out the RCM plans service for lots of interesting designs in this size range--Top Dawg, Li'l Gigi, Farman Moustique, Royal Coachman, All Star, Baby Buzzard, Real Thing, etc. Also brouse the AMA plans, Flying Models, Model Airplane News, and Bill Northrup's plans service (advertises in Flying Models) for many many other designs. Nice scratch building projects.

But do yourself a favor and get some micro servos like Hitec HS-81s, or at least mini servos which are available from Balsa Products for 10 bucks each.

I would guess the Top Dawg, Royal Coachman, Real Thing, and Baby Buzzard would take standard equipment, but it would be very tight and heavy.

How about the Airsail Voltimer, or Heron Gas Buggy kits from New Zealand? These will both take standard size gear.

My daughter and I built the House of Balsa Spacewalker. I think it flies just nice. Read the review I made on the kit. Email if you have any questions.

How about a Clancy Lazy Bee. Cute cartoonish looking plane that flys great.

Claudio,
I have an ACE puddlemaster whuich is an electric kit but I have put an enya .09 and it flys great. not over powered but about the same as the electric just not the power curve decline. I laso hace a GP sprectra glider. I a 1/8th ply firewall on the front, added a tail wheel and 4-40 landinggear with 21/2 wheel, Left it a a three channel and it flys great as well. all with standard servo's reciever and all the rest.

Go to the following link:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_gu...cfm?kit_id=944

http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_gu...0-c900bd252316

You will have to remove the carriage return on the second link. Hope you enjoy. I think a .15 may rip the wings off. If you do that, use some carbon fiber doublers on the stringers to reinforce the wing. You can also reduce the wingspan about one rib on each side to make it hotter for a .10 engine. It flies very well with the outdated (1978) Enya .09. I do not know much of the Decathalon characteristics. Perhaps you can go to the link I gave you to check out other reviews.

Regards,

Bernard
