It does not matter. Some 'Forum Expert" will still say you are wrong

Yes, an obvious 'expert' too.

To lighten things up a little:
EX is for has been and SPURT is a drip under pressure.

Hello Ollie!
I see you migrated here too....

I read about your fishing leader alternative. Good idea. The nichrome does tend to distort and breakage is a problem.

Default Migration

Hi Injun,
Yeah, lots of guys have migrated. This site seems to be the most efficient and convenient of its kind. Glad you found the fishing leader suggestion useful.

Migrated... who??!?!!

I've heard leader wire recommendeed a lot, but haven't found it at the x-Mart stores, sporting goods places, or rod and gun shops... any pointers to sources for the stuff?

Default Leader Wire

Al,

See:
http://www.eangler.com/eangler/prosh...=291&jex=91002
They offer 1/4 pound spools of #8 (0.020 dia.) for $7.99.

I resently bought a smaller package (42ft.) of the same stuff (Malin) in Boat USA here in Punta Gorda for $2.39 plus tax. This 42 ft package is more than a life time supply.

I have been using this stuff successfully to cut foam for the last 14 years with no problems and no breakage. I use enough tension in my bows to deflect 18 inches of 1/4 inch music wire about 3 inches.

If you can't find it locally contact me through E-mail. I will give you my address and send you the length you need if you send me a stamped, self addressed padded mailing envelope.

Thanks Ollie --

That sounds like exactly what I need... I'll visit the local scene here with the additional info and see if they can fix me up.
