GIANT SLOWPOKE FLIGHT REPORT*****
Hi Guys
Just wanted to share some photos of my latest scratch build project (hopefully the pics will download!!)....
I really liked the way the Great Planes Slow Poke 40 built and flew. So I thought "what if???"...what if we made it BIGGER?
Bigger flies better anyways right?.....So here's what I've done. I've taken the original Slow Poke and increased the size by
150%!!!!! Took all the measurements off the original and came up ith this..........Construction is all foam with Balsa sheeting and
some 1/4 inch ply for the bulheads.....The fuse is sheeted foam and so is the 2 piece wing.....Wingspan increased from 60" to 92"!!!
The chord of the wing is 27" from 18"...weight is around 15 lbs...power is an MDS 1.48 and is guided by a Futaba Radio.....Installed Robart Oleo struts and 5 1/2" tires....
You can see the original SLow Poke in the pics....I'm hopefully going to get to test fly it this weekend and will update accordingly....
Enjoy the pics....hopefully, it's my first time trying to upload pictures here..........
Thanks for looking Tom

RE: GIANT SCALE "SLOW POKE"...WARBIRD STYLE!!!
Great idea and a great job of building! It really ought to fly super.
What I really like though is your workshop with all that table space. Love that white paint on everything, really lightens the place up. I'd be ashamed to post a pic of mine! []

RE: GIANT SCALE "SLOW POKE"...WARBIRD STYLE!!!
If the Germans had seen that on D-day we would have won the war right there. Just walk around and pick up all their guns while they were laughing their guts out...
Nice work. Gives a whole new look to the old bird...[8D]
