Bamboo dowel source ??
I've been searching for a source of bamboo dowels (3 mm specifically) but haven't found anyplace, online or off, that handles bamboo. Has anybody got a suggestion where I might look ?

Check out the packs of shiskabob skewers at your local Kroger or Jungle Jim's. []Sorry--I've been cleaning my workshop and can't lay my hands on the pack I have to give you a brand name.

RE: Bamboo dowel source ??
Thanks for the help.
No luck at my LHS, couldn't find bamboo tomato stakes anywhere, we don't have a local Asian area, SIG doesn't carry them (at least they don't list them on their website), and I still haven't checked out Krogers or Jungle Jims for Skewers. Since my primary need was to replace the wing dowels on a Pico Stick, I did order a set from Horizon Hobby and got them in four days. But that's sort of expensive for what I got and I also thought they might be useful for some small homebuilt park-flyers.
Either got to check out Krogers or ..... Guess I could grow my own

Home Depot or similar super hardware stores should have them in the garden section.... usually colored green, if that matters...
Cheers!
