next time do not cut your plan. for the individual ribs. put apiece of cardboard under neath the plan with a piece of carbon paper, face down on the sheet of cardboard. trace the the rib then cut the cardboard on the lines. its your pattern for all the ribs. do the same for all other multiples, the same for all the other parts. DO NOT CUT the Plan trace it. do the same for all the rest of the parts. dick

Not sure I understand the ?, but here's my take on it. These are 2 seperate pieces. The main rib, and the aileron rib. The corss grain you see (by the arrow) is the TE piece for the rib, and the LE piece for the aileron. The angle is cut so the aileron can move without binding.

Thanks for the help narpets. Well today, ribs 2-14 got their sanding. I still need to do a final sand to take it to the edges. I'm doing all the sanding by hand cause I don't trust a power sander. I Still need to do some drilling, spar cutouts, and cutting some insides out.

No prob.
Don't worry, the more you do this, the quicker you'll get with it Before long a powered disk sander won't seem all that intimdating, and will make the work go much quicker.

RE: Trying to get into scratch building...
well time for a lil update.... I have done about 1/4 of the wing ribs and have them setup so I could get a lil idea of how I'm doing. If I can get a digi cam I'll take a pic tonight and upload. Until next time....
