PLASTICS EXPERT HELP NEEDED
Hi, I am looking for a 3mm thick black plastic sheet which is light and rigid for my project. I have seen this material used in a throw meter (pic attached). Can the plastic experts out there identify this material ? Many thanks !

RE: PLASTICS EXPERT HELP NEEDED
The purpose of the part might help us out a bit.. There are many types of plasitc out there, and many ways of forming it.
from the picture, I would venture it's a regular sheet of black Styrene plastic. (You can get white sheets at the local hobby shop)
Or, it's the more common 'ABS' plastic, whic is usually heat formed in some way (extrusion, molding, blow molding, etc.. form pellets)

RE: PLASTICS EXPERT HELP NEEDED
The model railroad guys use tons of plastic sheet of various kinds for scratchbuilding. Evergreen is one popular brand, I think. Give them a look.
