Those are really close but all else being equal the larger diameter and lower pitch is better for hovering.
But so much more depends on which lets the engine run at it's happy RPM range or if "all else is equal".
Your best opton is to buy one of each and try them on your model.

It still depends on the model and the engine and how you fly it. Yes I know you said 3D but it depends on what maneuvers you do the most and how much hovering to normal flying you do. No one prop is good for ALL conditions. Get one of each and try them. And pick up a few others around those sizes and try them too.
I've got a model that I tried with 4 different brands and types of 10x7's and it flew differently with every one.

12.25x3.75 without a doubt. 3-D is what that prop was designed for. It is designed with a good 45 in mind. I would start there. As others suggested have the 12x4 on hand too. Props are cheap (relativly speaking), so why not have several brands and sizes on hand.
