Default Scan Pro for Windows

Hello folks,
I thought I’d let you all know about a program I found that converts graphic files into cad drawings that appears to work very well on a few files that I’ve tried. The program is ScanPro for Windows, version 5.0. I don’t know how much it cost because it was free when I purchased design cad 3d max version 14. I’ve attached a file that was a conversion of JPEG file from Paul Matt’s Collection no. 4 CD of the Waco YKS-6.

If anyone would like to see the DXF file let me know and I email you a copy.

Miles.

Many folks are already using one of the versions of WinTopo by SoftSoft Inc. It is a raster to Vector converter available for free at CNET or can be purchased. It has the ability to take colored lines and separate into layers. It will analyse linework, and connect into a polyline and exprt direct to Autocad of a lowgrade version of DXF. Even the freeware version is about the hottest conversion around. They have a couple user groups and forums on the internet to discuss recognition problems and software modifications.

Hi Miles,

I am looking for a program that will convert scanned files (.JPG) and export them as either an .IGS or .DFX file.
This program sounds like what I am looking for .
I would like to take a look at the DFX file you created. If you would, please e-meil it to me, I would really appreciate it.
My e-mail address is:

[email protected]

Thanks Miles,

Wayne

Hi Jon,

That would be great if I could try one of your files before I go out and purchase the program.

Miles, I don't know if you sent your DFX file to me or not. I haven't seen anything yet. I gave you my work email address and if you did send it, I think their firewall blocked it. Strange how that blocking works. Sometimes I try to send a web address to my work e-mail from home and it never gets to me but yet I can get 10 porno ads a day through their firewall.

Jon and Miles, please, when you get a chance, could you e-mail me the files at my home.

My home e-mail is: [email protected].

Thanks again for your time gentlemen,

Wayne

Miles and Jon,

You are both men of your word. Thanks so much for the files you sent. Even though I had problems at my end, you guys didn't give up and sent them until I did receive them.
Thanks again guys.
Take care and keep up the good work,

Wayne
