I need a white foam board (about 36X20X2.5 in dimision, 2 lb density) to build a wing. Anybody know where I can get such material? Thanks

You shoudl be able to find this at any 'arts & graphics" store. Foamcore is a pretty standard medium of the graphic arts. Somtimes it can also be found at the 'Home building' centers. Some of the large 'department stores' will have this in thier 'art & craft' section.

last resort: look up 'sign makers' in the phone book, and buy a sheet from them.

If you like, I've got some that I can slice you a piece off of. I've got a 4x4x8 foot block in my garage, that I got with the intention of making some kits. (I still am intending to. [sm=drowning.gif]) Give me a PM or email, and you can come by, and we'll fire up the old bow and slice you off a hunk...

Everyone is talking about two different materials here. "FomeCore" is a graphics arts material used for mounting drawings. It consists of a foam sheet with paper laminated to both sides. You don't get it in 2.5 inch thick blocks. The questioner needs thick foam blocks for building. It ain't the same thing.

The club I belong to is in South Austin, the HCAM club, but I've flown with the ARCA group for years (at their fly-ins and such.)

The Yak isn't finished yet, though I've got a renewed desire to get it done now. Someday soon.... I also intend to fly IMAC (used to fly AMA pattern), but I haven't competed in several years...
