Here's a pic of my scratch built pattern ship.
DeMilo
72" WS
69" Long
10.75 lbs dry
YS 120 w/ 16 x 6 prop.
Uses standard Hs425 servos ( Hs475 for rudder )
Knife edge is a dream....... no mixing is required. ALL F3A patterns performed well.
DeMilo is a scaled up version of the GP Venus 40. ( Venus DeMilo !!! )
Designed using DeltaCad and Winfoil.
Printed full size drawings at a local printer. Now I'm working on a 60/90 size version (DeMilo II)with a thicker 3D wing and enhanced rudder and elevator halves.
Feel free to email me should you want to see more.

RE: For all you Pattern Flyers out there.....
i must confess that i am a huge Venus fan. So much so that when I crashed it (second time it was far worse the first and everyone at the field told me to give up!) I rebuilt it after considerable effort - entire nose section up to the wing front was match sticks! Anyway, I would be very interested in plans for the standard 40 version. Can I scale yours down for that purpose?

RE: For all you Pattern Flyers out there.....
I still have my Venus 40.... and still love it. As you both know it will do anything pattern wise if you can "correctly" move the control sticks..
I wrote to GP last fall ( I still have the email somewhere) and they flat out told me that they have "NO PLANS" to offer a 60 size of the Venus so... this is what initiated my building the DeMilo. A master builder in my club offered to partner with me and he had the YS120.
The wings are removable in two halves with the aluminum wing tube like the Something Extra.
I am current working on the plans for a 60 size, 65" WS.

The DeMilo has be test flown last season. I am now working on a 60 size with a fatter wing chord and she is almost complete.
