radio interferance
need some opinions on brass hinges with steel pins. I am building a 144 inch wing span super cub. The wings and flaps will have a total of 10 frise type hinges. the hinges will be made from sheet brass and 1/4 inch square tubing with steel hinge pins. will these cause any radio interferance?. your opinions will be appreciated.Thank You.

RE: radio interferance
In a word, no.
Your hinges should be fitted up with no slop, so there should not be any metal-to-metal RFI generated. A bit of lube wouldn't hurt, either.
I'm covering my 1/3 scale L-4 now, and it has the Frise ailerons but no flaps. Same hinge design, I think.

I have three antennas on my mobile radios (ham) - they're all stainless. The operative part of the term is stainless _steel_.
OTOH the stainless pins certainly should have excellent _wear_ properties.
