Default Changing Plans Sizes

I am new to the scratch building scene. I am having fun doing it though. I have a Top Flite Spitfire kit that I am working on and would like a nice scaled down version of this for an electric motor. If I take these plans and just cut them down 50% at kinkos will this work? And if so would that mean my new plans would be half the scale of the top flite model?

Default RE: Changing Plans Sizes

Your scale-down will be 1/4 scale... 1/2 length X 1/2 width..
You'd be much better off looking for Spit plans which are already electrified.
It's a popular subject.
I'd expect only the outline of the Top Flite kit would be useable.. electrics need a far different structure for practicality.
