Default TE stock verus Aileron stock

Hi Any difference in the flying style between these two.
I know the TE has a right angle, where as the Aileron has 2 equal legs..I was told there was no difference, so why do the balsa suppliers carry both.
I will be scratch building a Cloud Dancer 40 and the late Fred Reese, used TE stock for the ailerons..

I also have the kit version with TE stock..Just curious as top why Aileron stock was not used.
Thanks Dan
