TurboCAD Designer,
Hey All!
I don't know how good this software is, but for $10 at Comp USA
it may be worth a look for those of you still just
THINKING about playing with CAD. I have TurboCAD Pro 7
and it's just fine. Any comments on how this version works
for modeling? The DR1 on the box cover suggests modelers are a
market segment.

RE: TurboCAD Designer,
The Designer version is highly stripped down as to what you can import and the "save as" options. If's fine for getting a feel of CAD and TurboCAD in particular but use it as an evaluation exercise and then get the regular full version.
Full version of 7 and up are often available on ebay for cheap. Version 7 was where all the 2D nice toys became much more useable and I'd buy any from 7 and up in a flash.
